That’s right folks, it’s that time of year again! I’m excited to announced a new and improved version of the dance competition at TBFC 2020. We’ve been asked by many folks over the years to consider allowing other types of percussive folk dance in the contest. This year, with the help of my mentor and personal hero Mr. Ira Bernstein, we’ve figured out a way to do it that we think will be fun, fair and exciting for all. Go to TopangaBanjoFiddle.org to learn about the NEW AND IMPROVED contest and SIGN UP TO WIN!
Registration opens today for my Harmony Singing Class at Walker Creek Music Camp. I’m thrilled to be introducing Clinton Ross Davis to the camp as my guest co-instructor. Clint has a vast knowledge of Sacred Harp Singing which he will be sharing with our students, as well as some banjo picking a fiddle playing. As always, I will also be teaching classes in Flatfoot Dance and will offer private “office hours” to a few lucky people on a first-come-first-serve basis. My Harmony Singing class is limited to 12 students, so don’t delay. Sign Up today here.
